Mace Blades


Ingredients: mace blades

Harvested from the nutmeg tree, mace blades give a slightly sweet, peppery warmth to dishes. While it is usually found in savory cooking, mace is also used in cakes and pie fillings, ice cream, preserves, and is great on fruits such as pears and apples.

Use whole to infuse flavor to rice, soups, and stews, removing the blades from the dish before serving, or toasted and ground to use in curries and baked goods.
