French Tarragon


Ingredients: French tarragon

Mellow with notes of licorice, mint, and dill, French tarragon adds a distinguished earthy flavor to dressings, salads, and sauces. French tarragon is a delicate herb that works well in chicken, fish, and egg dishes and is best when added at the end of cooking.

Known in France as "The King of Herbs", tarragon can be found in many French dishes such as Béarnaise sauce and Poulet à l'Estragon (Tarragon Chicken).

To create your own version of the French herb blend "Fines Herbs", combine equal parts chervil, tarragon, chives, and parsley.

1 teaspoon dried tarragon = 1 tablespoon fresh
