Asafoetida Powder


Hand Blended Ingredients: rice flour, asafoetida, gum arabic, turmeric root

A secret ingredient for an extra umami boost, use asafoetida powder sparingly to flavor beans, lentils, vegetables, temper dals, and curries. For best results, quickly fry a pinch or two of asafoetida powder in olive oil, ghee or butter to mellow the flavor and bring out notes of garlic and onion.

Can be used anywhere you would normally use garlic or onion.
