While cilantro refers to the leaves of the coriander plant, coriander seeds are the dried fruit from the same plant. Subtle, nutty, and slightly sweet with notes of citrus, ground coriander can be used in both sweet and savory dishes.

Add ground coriander to your chicken, soups, stews, chili, pickle brines, and potatoes dishes. For sweet applications, coriander goes well with apples, pears, and citrus fruits. A staple in Mediterranean, Latin American, Asian, and Middle Eastern cooking, coriander pairs well with cinnamon, cumin, fennel, and ginger.
