Ingredients: ground white pepper
White pepper has a subtle, less biting flavor then black pepper, and is perfect for use when you want a peppery bite without the black specks. Try in Alfredo sauce, mashed potatoes, rice dishes, salad dressings, gravy, clam chowder, and other cream based soups or sauces.
Pepper can become bitter if cooked to long, so for best results, add towards the end of cooking.
While they hail from the same plant, white pepper is produced from the ripened fruit of the pepper plant, where black pepper is made from the unripe fruit.
