Hand Blended Ingredients: cinnamon chips, allspice, cloves, star anise

Originating in the 2nd century, mulled wine is enjoyed all over the world during the colder fall and winter months. Whether you are making Glögg, Glühwein, Wassail, or even a warm spiced Sangria, this blend of warming spices can start as your base, while you add in your choice of alcoholic (or non-alcoholic) liquids and fruits. Mulling spices can also be used to infuse apple cider, ale, brandy, whiskey, applesauce, and cranberry sauce. 


MULLED WINE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix 2 Tbsp. of Mulling Spice, 750 ml. of red wine, 1/3 cup orange juice, and 1/3 cup port in a large sauce pan.
  2. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and enjoy.

MULLED CIDER INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix 3 tbsp of Mulling Spice with 1 gallon of apple cider (or cranberry juice) in a large pan.
  2. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and enjoy.

HOLIDAY POTPOURII INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Simmer 1-2 Tbsp. of Mulling Spice in a small pot of water, uncovered, over low heat.
  2. Enjoy the scent.
