Hand Blended Ingredients: cinnamon chips, allspice, cloves, star anise
Originating in the 2nd century, mulled wine is enjoyed all over the world during the colder Fall and Winter months. Mulling spices can also be used to infuse apple cider, brandy, and whiskey.
To make a mulled wine, add 2 tbsp of Mulling Spice for each 750 ml. of red wine with 1/3 cup each of port and orange juice to add a little sweetness. Simmer over low heat 20 minutes.
For hot mulled cider, add 3 tbsp of Mulling Spice per gallon of apple cider.
