Ingredients: horseradish root powder
Ground from dried horseradish root, horseradish powder can be rehydrated to create horseradish sauce or added in powder form to savory dishes where you are looking to add a pungent, sharp, biting flavor. Best when added at the end of cooking or to dishes that do not require cooking as heat mellows out the flavor of horseradish. Try in your next Bloody Mary, cocktail sauce, deviled eggs, potato salad, coleslaw, or meatloaf.
To rehydrate into horseradish sauce, mix 1 part powder, 1 part water, and 1 part vinegar, plus salt to taste.
Or add horseradish powered to sour cream, mayonnaise, or crème fraiche for a savory and spicy cream sauce that pairs well with roast beef and prime rib.
