Moroccan Veggie Blend
Hand Blended Ingredients: cumin, coriander, chili powder, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cayenne, cloves
Add an exotic flare to your vegetable dishes with this Moroccan Veggie Blend. Try on roasted root vegetables like carrots, potatoes, turnips, and sweet potatoes, as well as cauliflower and corn on the cob. The chili powder and cayenne add a touch of mild heat that mingles perfectly with the sweetness and warmth from cinnamon, allspice, and cloves.
For best results, coat raw vegetables in oil and veggie blend, then marinate for several hours before cooking. If you are short on time, you can skip the marinating step and still get amazing results. To take the flavor up a notch, toss freshly grated lemon zest on top of your roasted vegetables along with a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. And don’t stop at veggies, try this seasoning on grains like rice and couscous, or as a rub for chicken, pork, and fish.
We recommend using 1 tablespoon per pound of raw vegetables or meat. This blend is salt free and sugar free, so you can add salt to taste if needed. We also like to sprinkle a little Traditional Santa Maria Rub on our roasted veggies in place of regular salt and pepper, and have found that it blends beautifully with this Moroccan Veggie Blend.
